Candidate Statement: Nancy Ferber AICP

I'm excited for the opportunity to continue helping OAPA as the board secretary. I started as a member-at-large and have since mentored with the emerging planner group, helped draft policy, and promoted transparency such as requiring salary listings on our job postings. I’m passionate about continuing our DEI efforts and look forward to collaborating with colleagues and new board members!

Nancy is originally from Portland, where she grew a love of planning and the Pacific Northwest. After MURPing at grad school in Minnesota, she worked in creative placemaking consulting and helped develop the first partklets in Minneapolis. Since returning to Oregon, she has focused on roles in the public sector. Most recently she was an environmental land use planner for a Council of Governments in Astoria. She’s passionate about urban design, thoughtful waterfront development, and finding the best coffee and hikes on the Oregon coast!
