Candidate Statement: Andrea Pastor (she/her)

Having just completed my first 2-year term, and now understanding the organization, its recent history and its current finances, I'm looking forward to continuing to help expand OAPA's reach and increase its values to members across the state and the profession as a whole.

As someone who entered the field as a second career, I'm very interested in what we can do to increase a broader awareness of planning as a profession, which is why I've been participating in the Education & Outreach Committee. I'll be helping to put together the Community Assistance in Planning Program in 2025 to provide needed pro bono planning work. I've also enjoyed participating in the Emerging Planners Group mentorship program to help those just coming into the field establish their footing and benefit from what others have learned throughout their careers.
