PCD is seeking a full-time Planner to be part of a collaborative team in a dynamic, growing company involved in a variety of land development projects. 

Position Summary

Day-to-day responsibilities include: 

  • Prepare development applications and make public presentations as part of approval process.
  • Write narratives, feasibility studies and compliance reports.
  • Coordinate with clients, agency staff, internal staff and outside consultants.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings and developmental training
  • Understand code requirements and review processes.
  • May assist in project design and identify solutions to design challenges.
  • Involves travel to/from agencies.


  • Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field. Master’s degree and/or Professional Certification desirable.
  • Experience with development review processes and review agencies is desirable.
  • College level training in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
  • Must have valid driver's license. • Clear writing and speaking skills.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills. 
  • Effective communication skills and willingness to work with others, both internal and external, to solve complex problems.
