Candidate Statement: Casandra Brown (she/her)

I've been a professional planner since 2021 with a focus on comprehensive planning topics affecting local governments. I am passionate about creating more climate resilient cities, expanding access to opportunity, and improving public trust through effective community engagement. In my free time I volunteer with the OAPA Better Planners Podcast, enjoy foraging with my dog (Pepper), and am pursuing a Master in Public Administration at PSU. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to serve as Secretary as a way to continue learning about local planning topics and best practices.
